Leather Craft Courses

Why not enrol on a 1-5 day leather craft course, run on site in our ‘working Saddler’s’ workshop deep in the heart of Normandy, France. Courses are run by UK master Saddler Andre’ Bubear who has over 30 years experience in leather crafting.

Andre’ specializes in bridle work, western saddlery (repair and manufacture). He is also a fine leather craftsman, making; handbags, belts, harnesses, dog collars and leads to name only a few.

You can choose a course designed to suit your own needs. So whatever it is you’d like to learn to craft, you will be taught how to do it in a real leather workshop using real materials and real leather crafting tools.

This Unique Leather Crafting Course Includes The Following:

- An introduction to leather and how leather is made.

- Different parts of the skin and their uses.

- Strap cutting straight from the hide and hole punching etc as well as other techniques for crafting leather.

- All the methods required to make beautiful leather products.

- You can learn how to make leather satchel bags, bellows, belts, dog leads and collars etc.

Any Experience Required?

You do not require any experience to attend, however when you leave you will be able to craft your own designs from leather.

Leather Craft Course Prices

Courses start at 120 euro’s (lunch included), materials cost extra.

Accommodation

We offer full B+B ensuite and non ensuite facilities in the same grounds. We also offer an evening meal if required. Our B+B “L’Escale” is run by Evelyne who cooks traditional home made French food.
